 WHO IS KLENG T WALKER?

Kleng is a self-taught artist. She was born and raised, by a family who are influenced by art,in 1983 in the beautiful island of Romblon, Philippines. Migrated to the United States in 2009 and settled down in North Clarendon, Vermont with her loving husband and her beautiful daughter...She has a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing but her heart belongs to arts eversince a kid....She started sketching at the age of 6. By age 12, inspired by her father to study the basic principle of oil painting in a summer workshop for kids in 1995, guided by a local artist, Emmanuel Rebato, she painted her first piece in 24 x 36 oil on linen, titled "Native Huts". Using oils as a medium made it easy for her to develop her technique. Before entering college in 2000 she put her passion behind, dedicating her time to her studies. “ I never thought that I can paint again, its been a while since I held a brush. But I believed its a gift from God that until now im currently enjoying.” Ten Years passed, encouraged by family and friends, she picked up a brush, got a canvas and paint once again.

She studied with master Linda Stanton Patrick since 2010 where she learned to see light, shadows, texture in details.

"I dont limit myself to learn anything that interests me. I love to push myself to the unknown. In my leisure time, i play around with watercolor, colored and graphite pens, charcoal, and my new medium is Coffee grounds. The sepia-kind of look to it is very interesting and unique".

Artist Statement:  “my works are inspired by the simplicity of our surroundings. I like to examine and capture details in nature which might be overlooked by the casual observer.....

the most common or simple item that

carries its own beauty". --- klengtw
